Re:

I can't see it sliding out as you have to lift it over a little hump to lock it in, unlike the R/H drawer which has a handle and catch.

Re: T31 Left Hand Drawer Installation ?s

Nice pickup Tony.

The lip may be enough to stop it sliding out. I was in a rush from the dealer the day I picked it up. I literally took it out of the box and shoved it in. In hindsight there was probably a little rattling going on whilst driving. The extra 'bits' certainly keep the draw nice and firm while in situ.

I am a little puzzled why the two sides have such different designs (handle, extra bits to mount, etc) and Nissan didn't go for a single approach.

Cheers,
Mark

Re: T31 Left Hand Drawer Installation ?s

HI

First time poster(for a long time), but those small bits stop the drawer from sliding in "too far" and also sit on the plastic little spring bits to hold the drawer down in the 'locked' position and to stop it rattling in the frame. I know this is an old post, but I have added here for future generations! I fit mine last week, (February 2018) and it really was not that complicated. Cheers

Re: Draw install

I have a second hand drawer
I want to fit it into the space on the left of the existing drawer.

Can some one please advise the process, or where to find the instructions for the modification as I was considering taking to it with a hack saw, or if you need to cut and plastic weld the sides of the base surround unit to get it to clip together with the existing draw on the right. I purchased it second hand not as a kit so nothing with the draw or base surround

Ask first - put the hack saw down Andy

I have posted a scan of the instructions that came with my draw at https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/t135128
