T31 Left Hand Drawer Installation ?s

Hi have just purchased the left hand drawer for the exy and went to install it the instructions are abit confussing. The drawer fits in the space and it does slide in and out.Question is for owners that have the left drawer could explain what the two bits of plastic do that come with the kit also has screws, nuts etc to house them on the side of the drawer.

This is my old drawer but the only place I think you would use the plastic bits would be in the floor section where it slides into.

Can you put a picture up of the bits in question?

Re: T31 Left Hand Drawer Installation ?s

The left hand drawer costs $195 plus postage but if you live in the Sydney region you can pickup from Steve Jarvis Nissan ,Parramatta Rd Burwood and you have to mention this is the cost on their Ebay section otherwise they will charge you $250.Very overpriced but handy must have accesory

In Melbourne they are $190 also a Nissan dealer on Ebay

Hope this helps

PS : i tryed to get it up here in Pt Stephens for the $195 but they wouldnt match the price go figure you may have luck in your local area dealer if you tell them how much they are elsewhere

Re: T31 Left Hand Drawer Installation ?s

Tony is correct. The two pieces of plastic get screwed into the main 'frame' that the drawer slides into. You'll notice the drawer has a section on each side that has some slight spring to it. The pieces of plastic sit on top of these and should be mounted so the top of the 'frame' and the top of the new 'bracket' are flush.

Cheers,
Mark

What do they do when fitted is it essential to fit them?

Re:

Not really sure Neil but a guess would tell me that they guide the drawer in straight.

The plastic bits keep the drawer flat when you pull it out, I'll take a photo if I get a chance.

Re: T31 Left Hand Drawer Installation ?s

I think it also helps to lock the drawer in place so it doesn't randomly slide out. If you parked with the nose pointing up a hill and open the boot, you don't really want a drawer full of goodies heading towards you unexpectedly.

The fitting process is very easy...the documentation makes it look hard (gotta love those 'no words' instructions).
