Sorry to hear about this.
1. You'll probably need to do further tests to the engine including compression test to ensure no damage to cylinder walls exisits.
2. Would your insurance cover the repair? If yes, might as well replace things with new parts.

If the rockers are moving freely up and down then the camshaft is still OK.
Did the engine run Ok after this happened?
Just check where you can and see if the lobes on the cam shafts are still shiny and not have any chuncks taken out of them.
Check the rockers too and see if they are damaged.
Hopefully you got it in time and the bolt didn't do any damage.
I doubt there would be any cylinder damage as the bolt would have stopped in the rocker cover.

Could have the bolt possibly in some way held a valve open as the cylinder was coming back up making them crash ?
Maybe this is the cylinder damage Jalal might have been thinking of.
