Macdonald Valley/Yengo NP Saturday 18th August - Beginners Run NSW

Hi guys I was in the mood for an easy/pretty drive so I've decided to open up a beginners/newbies from Wisemans Ferry into the Macdonald Valley in the morning with a few easy river crossings. Lunch at St Albans Pub and then a trip through Yengo National Park. We will hopefully see some convict relics and aboriginal paintings/carvings and come out at Putty Road.

The plan is for a full day trip meeting about 8:00am at Wisemans Ferry (outside the pub) and finish up around 5pm at Putty Road (hopefully earlier but 5 should be worst case). It really is going to be a full day with heaps to see. There probably wont be too much time for getting out and walking around.

If anyone wanted to do only a half day let me know. You could join us for the morning or afternoon trip only.

What you can expect in the morning has been covered by 4wd TV

Of course this trip is not limited to newbies. The more experienced guys we have the easier it will be to guide the newbies though any 'difficult' sections.

This trip should be suitable for stock Exys (4x4 only of course) provided it is dry. Even in the wet we should be able to complete most of it. Show your interest here. emoticon

Attending so far:
Toddyh03 - Todd
Jupitor 2 - Peter
ArthurV - Arthur
Exyjef - Jeff

Hi Todd,
You mention "lunch at St Albans Pub" which I am more than happy with but perhaps some members would prefer to bring their own picnic lunch or similar and have that near the pub.
May get more "newbies" and "oldies" that way.

cheers

People can have a picnic lunch at the pub if they like. There is a massive beer garden with heaps of grass and picnic tables. It's a really pretty spot.
