Cooch's D22 Navara

May as well start a new thread for my Navara.

I brought a brand spanking new 2011 model D22.
The dealer threw in a smoked bonnet protector, Rubber mats and supplied a Nissan towbar for a discounted price.

Image

First thing I did after driving it home was rip the rear bumper off and fit the towbar.

I extended the trailer plug using 3mm steel plate so it comes further towards the back, makes for an easier connection.
Got the windows tinted,
Nissan underlip tub liner.
Brought an orange fuel cap holder from Nissan for $1.25 which I think is form a Maxima or something, fit perfectly.

I had a rip stop tonnau cover made that clips on to the top of the tub.

I fitted black aluminium mesh to the lower radiator slot and the bonnet scoop, no more bugs or stone damage.

Then I fitted a Nissan snorkel, (it was fun drilling all the holes in the guard)
and a full 3 plate Ironman under body protection set.

Then I removed the Nissan side steps and made some sliders for it.

Next thing I got fitted was a Tough Dog 2" suspension lift with 41mm big bore shocks, Torsion bars and leaf springs.

I got, from my measurements an average of 50mm in the front and 75mm on the rears.
Got to be happy with that.

I also flattened the sliders down a little as they were a bit too steep for my liking.
Muck more of a step now but still built to slide over rocks. Good for car park protection as well.

Re:

Just fitted some 9 inch DVD headrests with a zippable cover.
These are meant to rotate between the Navara and my wifes Golf, all depending who's car the kids want to ride in.

Great idea Tony. Does that mean they are battery powered or have you wired up plugs in both cars?

Hi Tony,
The Navara is looking good. With the DVD entertainment in the back for the children, does this mean a chance of you coming to Woolgoolga for the meet up in October.

John

Re:

Could be an option John,
I'll have to check with my diary (wife) and run it by her before all the accommodation is booked out.
