Re: Expressions of Interest. Mt Walker, Lithgow.
Arthur I think Tony and myself will go and have a quick look first before we make any assessment on which vehicles can and can't do this trip. If you're keen to do these tougher sort of trips I would strongly recommend getting some underbody protection. At least something to protect the engine bay. The Xtrails have no standard protection under there and it wouldn't take a massive hit to snap your sump plug and leave you stranded. I think Ray made a plate for his T30. You might want to ask him about it.

Re:
Todd,
I have still got your number so I will give you a buzz or send you a PM at least a week before we go, most of the time it's a spur of the moment thing.
Either way I will let you know.
At this stage it won't be till the end of July as Daniel is away for 3 weeks.
Arthur,
As Todd said bash plate is the way to go, so much damage can be caused just from a rouge stick.
It's a whole lot more challenging than the Caves to Caves run.
This is the best way to do things just to make sure.

Re: Expressions of Interest. Mt Walker, Lithgow.
No worries Tony. I can do the last weekend in July at this stage. If you didn't want to wait for Daniel I try to could round up my mates and their Patrol?

Re: Expressions of Interest. Mt Walker, Lithgow.
Tony & Todd,
It would be good to think about if the direction travelled would influence the ease for an Xtrail as it is easier to descend some hills rather than climb them without the low-range or lockers.

Re:
Kev,
Its pretty much the same from either end, and up and down all the way through it.
The way we went in is a downhill run so that is probably the best way in.
