This is very interesting in regards to the Oil Separator problems in the diesels isn't it ?
It makes it sound as if they know and expect it as part of the "normal" operations of the engine.
Do you have this statement in writing from them ?

Re: Power reduction while using cruise control
No statement just verbal from dealer.
Interesting thing happened last week - dealer contacted to advise that Nissan had released an 'upgrade' for the diesel. Dealer didn't have much info on it as apparently none of the dealers have done it yet.
I've got the car booked in on the 5/10. They said they'd need the car for the day to do the upgrade.
Will update when I know more about it.

Re: Power reduction while using cruise control
UPDATE:
Car's in having the upgrade done today. I'm told that Nissan have released it to rectify a vacuum build up and sensor issue in diesels and although they can't say whether that's the actual issue with the 2 diesels, that I'm aware of, that they've had in the dealer thinks this 'might' rectify my issue.
Considering the beautiful weather at the moment it's probable that I won't know whether it's worked or not until next winter.
Watch this space!!!!

Re:
I'm pretty sure ive had this one too...
2011 TS Auto, 16,000km
Had major issues with the gearbox which ended in it being replaced, but before, once when I was driving on cruise, ~100km/hr temp 20-30c?, and I can't remember if I disengaged cruise or what, but the cruise light started flashing and I lost most power (assumed limp mode). After restart the car was fine and was taken back to Nissan the next day or so and stayed there until the gearbox was replaced. That was early November, and I assumed any s/ware updates were done too.
Either way, It hasn't happened since.
I did report this to Nissan, but they still can't tell me what happened to my gearbox, so Im not holding my breath on this one.

Re:
This issue has me curious. Has anyone considered that this could be a result of some sort of electromagnetic interference (EMI)? Where were you all travelling past at the time the symptoms arose? Did you have a particular brand of mobile phone switched on at the time? Where was the phone sitting? You'd be surprised how much electromagnetic radiation from radio towers, mobile phones, radio transmitters or mobile phone towers can play havoc with a car's electronic systems. I suggest this particularly since some reported that the fault cleared once the car was restarted. In my experience with my job (where everything has to be tested for it's susceptibility to EMI) this sort of fault smells to me of something interfering with the car's computer systems.
For what it's worth, my TL has now travelled over 20,000km in all environments and never experienced this problem.
