Re:

No injuries to anyone, the air bags didn't even twitch.

If there was 10-15 cm more distance between the cars I wouldn't have hit the falcon in front.
By time I hit them, I was barely going 5-10kmh sliding.
So bumper, nudge bar, 1 spotlight, 1 spotlight cover(the other one ironically), stone deflector, and hopefully nothing inside. The nudgebar bent on its mounts into the bumper.
Other car - rear bumper and a crease in the boot.

Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get the parts in and the repairers have a timeframe before this event.

Would like a weekend away before I drive out to Bedourie in July. I might even make the Saturday if I can get my friend to be second driver for a Friday night run down to Helidon. That was the original plan. Although I would prefer an hour or 2 sleep before anything difficult on the Sat.

However my car is very drivable in this condition, so I may just turn up anyhow. Since its so close.

We shall see how it all turns out.

[EDIT] Looks like I am out.

However they (repairer) will try and get it fixed a few days before I leave for Bedourie at least. First date they said was the 27th of July emoticon

Re:

Yes Shane it is ok with a standard X-trail and has been done quite a few times with standard vehicles.

Make sure you go to first post to sign off on the disclosure please if you would like to attend.

If you are new to the off road side of things, this trip will put you with more experienced people as well and will show you what you can do with your X-trail.

Hope this answers your question!

Regards Scot

Hi Shane,

I have been to the springs 4x4 park before and it is possible, anything that you can't do, don't. We'll not leave you behind.

14 rivers crossing is mostly easy going so definitely can be done.

It'll be good for a newbie. Hope to catch you there.

Re:The Springs 4 x 4 park 16th and Condamine 14 river crossings 17th of June 2012

Hi

You can count David, Tyler & myself in, sounds like fun.

Are we just doing the "Springs 4x4" for the sat or sun as well.

Where is everyone staying, is the aim to stay all at the one venue or are we all doing our own thing?

Tracey

Re:

Ok the first post of this thread has been updated with more info on what to bring and also where to stay.

I thought the local RSL would be a good place to have dinner and Jamie and Vickie can be driven to dinner in my car that way Jamie can have a wine with dinner.

We may need to book so let me know your thoughts please.

Regards Scot

They have had some light snow around Tenterfield today so I think rug up people when we head down there for the springs 4x4.
