DRLs (Daytime Running Lights)
Hi Guys,
I finally found a product which can be called a true DRL (Daytime Running Lights) and there are perfect bright LEDs for the front of the car.
They are 28cm LED strips that lok like this and can be easily stuck on any car:
The exy transformed with the DRLs fitted
Here pics of them in action in daylight:
And here are the night pics:
What can I say, they are simply awesome indeed

Re:
Nice Jalal very nice.
I was going to ask why didn't you stick them under the headlights then I seen the night shot and understood. Either that or you're going for the HSV look.
Can you notice the strips without them on id the day light or did you stick them over the black plastic?
We'll have to call you MR LED now.

Re: DRLs (Daytime Running Lights)
Thanks Tony,
Considering I already have LEDs at the top in the headlights, locating the DRLs at the bottom seemed like the most logical place and the lower black section of the bumper masks the black LED strips quite nicely, so they don't stand out that much at all.
The wire is being fed behind the wheel arch and up into the engine bay.

Re:
Hi Scot,
Got them imported from a UK seller on eBay (maxautos2010). They cost about $30 bucks (including shipping) and they arrived to me within 4 days!
For simplicity, I extended the wiring to reach the parkers socket in the engine bay and spliced the wiring there, but I am thinking of having them run on ignition, so they can be lit by themselves all the time.
I just ordered 1 more set for my Merc

Re:
I see them on all sorts of cars lit up all the time (day and night) and I reckon as long as they are white (not blue), we'll be fine. I didn't find anything about LED strips on the ADR.
