Re:

My new red one has been ordered and it will take 14weeks or so to get here.
So I should have it around early November I hope.

Now I have the dreaded count down ahead of me. How did you get through that part Jalal?

Just need to sort out a price for my current one and let the 2 people who are interested in it pick. One is someone I work with and the other is my brother. Sort of preferring my brother to get it, since he will look after it more. And I will get too see it everyday at work regardless of who buys it between those two.

Going to keep the wheels I have for the new one and put the original ones back on the old one.

Good stuff Anne, please start a member rides thread or use your existing one (if you have one) to record the progress of your wait for the Red Exy. I was counting every minute of the 3 months wait for mine emoticon

Re:

I just tried the latest Ti and have an AVM question: From what I could see, it is only usable in reverse and up to only a few km/h forward? Is it correct? I do understand that the front one is not very useful on the freeway but for very slow 4wdriving it would be cool but the one in the car I tried turned off at about 2km/h?
Thanks, Patrick

That is correct, they only work up to about 2kph. You can push the camera switch and get a view of the left front wheel which is quite handy around big kerbs.
I'm sure that in time someone will be able to offer a hack so you can operate the cameras at all times and all views.

Re: 2012 T31 X-Trail Models Feature Variations (Series 5)

So the only difference between a series IV and V is the head unit and display/cameras? If so I'll look at getting a series IV with low kms

Re:

It depends on which grade x-trail you select, but yes, for the Ti and TL top of the range models, the main difference is the new Around View Monitoring system and the additional cameras on the mirrors, front and rear bumpers.

Re:

I will probably just get a base ST, so the only difference would be the head unit?

Re:

For the ST model the difference is the head unit:

All models will have a USB port but a single CD player that will replace the 6 CD Stacker
