Re: Bjelkie Peterson Dam Meet Up, SEQ, February 2012

Hi Stephen,
Hope Sprocket is Ok. Solly is having some surgery soon, just need to be there with them for a while. I think 1100 meet up is a good time and when you enter the dam complex, go past the office / kiosk, the road goes down and left to where you cross the dam wall. Just after this there is a road of to the left just before the toilet block. This is the BBQ area. Parking is along the the fence line.

John

Re: Bjelkie Peterson Dam Meet Up, SEQ, February 2012

I'm sorry John, but I won't be able to make it this Sunday. We've got to take Sprocket down to the vet (Palm Beach) to have an injection ..... the only day the vet is available and my only day off.

Hope the drive goes well and I will look out for the trip report.

Hi John,

Is this outing still going a head? Looks like most of the attendees have dropped out.

Hi Jalal and All,
I'm still going regardless as I have taken leave from work to do so. The weather is looking good, so if anyone wants to rock up on the day, that's more than fine by me. Really need to get away for a day in any case. It's a great place for a day away so I hope others can join us.

Regards
John

Re: Bjelkie Peterson Dam Meet Up, SEQ, February 2012

Hi all,
Rather than start a new thread in the trips section, just a short note to say it was a great day at the dam. Plenty of other people enjoying all the facilites with the weather fine and hot so we cooked on our trusty butane stove under one of the shelters. I told the lady at Clovely Estate wines how we linked thier site in the opening post and how I had hoped to generate a bit of business for her. In any case, we had a great day out and the Xtrail was able to stretch it's legs.
