Re: 2011 Queensland Forum members BBQ

Hi Jamie,
Count Bob and myself as starters, looking forward to it. It will make a good opportunity to plan an event for early next year.

Regards
John

Re: 2011 Queensland Forum members BBQ

Hi Guys,
I would be keen to make this a return to active forum participation. Uni exams will be over and it will be a nice getaway before prac starts.

That's me and probably one passenger.

It'll be good to see those I know and meet those I don't.

Dave

Re:

I went and checked out the area today and the whole area is perfect for a big group.

Only thing is last time I went to have a look you could get your cars right down next to the BBQ area and we could have got some nice pics but today it was closed off and the sign says no cars.

Regardless, we can park in the car park and carry things down to the area, (40-50mt) and just stop on the way to get some pics of the cars.

I noted three or 4 BBQ's in the area that are wood burning and seemed ample supplies of timber supplied by the council but if anyone has a portable one, feel free to bring it along so you don't have to queue up for the cook off.

There are bush walking tracks that lead off from the area so bring the hiking shoes and cameras.

It seems as though dogs are allowed as long as they stay on a lead.

I need some people to nominate themselves to bring along a soccer or football, frisbee and maybe a cricket bat and ball as I don't have any of these.

All up, it's not a long drive from the meetup point but will be a great day. emoticon

Re: 2011 Queensland Forum members BBQ

Hi Jamie

Unfortunately Rose will not be able to attend the BBQ as she has some family commitments to deal with.

Also, I may be a wee bit late ..... will be erecting Santa billboards on top of businesses around Wynnum / Manly for my Rotary Club. Am starting @ [sign in to see URL], so I don't think I'll be too late, but I just wanted to give you a heads-up first.

PS
Could you send me a text when you have final numbers so I can organise bread rolls, etc.

Re:

Hi John, added you to the list. 9 Exy's and a Pathy should make a nice spectacle looping around Mt CootTha lookout.

Looks like it's going to be a great afternoon. For those who have them and can use them don't forget your car flags.

Also, don't forget the sunscreen, and water, wouldn't want anyone getting fatigued from sun exposure.
