Please help me find the fuel input line on X-Trail

Hello

My name is Simon and I'm from Southland New Zealand. Well I'm actually from Brisbane, Au but i'm over here for work at the moment.

Japanese cars are very cheap here and are imported regularly from Japan, new ships come in regularly with the cars and they're all low km's. Some cars even from the year 2000 only have 13,000 km's on the clock, this is all verified by the AA (like the RACQ) as they test the meters to make sure they haven't been tampered with.

I'm only a new member and I'm also new to X-trails and have very little car knowledge at all.

I have a 2001 Japanese Import 2.0 litre X-Trail, it's my first 4x4 and seems to be a good car. It has 69,000 km's on the clock.

I need to know what is the fuel input and output lines inside the engine bay, I have an idea which 2 they are but I don't know which one is which. I've been given by a friend a fuel saving device I want to trial on it. I know it's probably a piece of rubbish but it's worth a try as it can't cause any harm. He is certain it made a difference on his Jeep.

If someone can post a photo of inside the engine bay of their xtrail showing which is the input and output for the fuel lines I would be very happy.

Thank you!

Re: Please help me find the fuel input line on X-Trail

Congratulations on buying an X_Trail - great cars and we love them.

None of those fuel savers work!!! - Nissan and all other manufacturers spend Millions of $'s getting very good fuel efficiency these days and use all available technology to achieve this.

To believe that a $10 or $20 gadget would improve on that is simply believing a con.

Your friend who believes his works is probably seeing an improvement because he wants to and is subtly driving more economically (as you would).

Tests have proved NONE of these devices actually work.

Remember these fuel lines are under quite some pressure.

I would NEVER cut one of my fuel lines or even disturb one to fit one of these devices.

Re:

Please do a forum search on "fuel savers" and see how 10 of us tested them on our T30 xtrails and what we found out.

Some even noticed an increased fuel consumption.
