Great videos of new X-Trail commercial - filmed in NZ

Hi all,

Came across these two great hi-def video clips on the internet of the Series 4 X-Trail filmed in NZ. Looks as though it has been produced for the European market.

One clip is for the advert itself.
http://vimeo.com/20533265

The second and even better I reckon is the "making of" the commercial.
http://vimeo.com/24869432

As they appear to be HD you can resize the vids to full screen for best results. Turn your speakers up a bit too! emoticon

Apologies if these ads are duped elsewhere on the forum....I had a look before posting and couldn't see them.

Those hyper rails look bloody good in the ad too!!! emoticon

Regards to all,

Paul.

Re:

Thanks for putting that up Paul.
I only watched the add not the making.
It is meant for the Euro market as you can see the X Trail in the opening scene with Hyper rails and one red fog light.
Although the should use real time footage in the snow scene. Its a bit obvious that a computer was the driver.

Re: Jetranger videos

Thanks for these videos. I watched the 2nd one and then the first one.
The making of this advert was really great, I have never seen how they do this, certainly a lot of work goes into it to achieve the outcome.

Re: Great videos of new X-Trail commercial - filmed in NZ

Being in New Zealand, I didn't pick any of the spots, as it is made for the Europeans as already established so they try and use back grounds which don't advertise NZ so much and make you focus on the car. The snow could be either central North Island or near Queenstown, the dirt roads are all over the country and would assume they use some of the roads used in the WRC which is all in the North Island but could be anywhere, the beach is on the West coast of the North Island as a guess going by the sand colour and the side the water is on. The wood area looks computer generated as we have pine trees but they don't look like that.

Have a look at Lord of the Rings for more unedited pics of NZ. There is plenty of fantastic driving here, I am in Christchurch and am happy to drive anywhere in the south island and my favourite run is to Queenstown through the Lindus pass. The designers of the road made it to be driven at 100km/hr with the exception of a few hair pins with the roads tapered to almost catch you and make it easier for high speed cornering, but you cannot drive it to its potential as there is usually commercial vehicles and tourists
