Re: costly service
Well my position is that I will book it in without asking costs prior.....I won't be paying for any "surprises" if they haven't asked me in advance. If they demand payment then the whole dealership and any customers will definitely hear mey reply.
When I take the vehicle in for the service they will ask me to sign a service sheet that they have printed out and it will have the cost on it. If it is not the capped price then they will just have to change it like I insisted when they did with the 20,000K service sheet.
Look, I don't mind having to pay for extras that "Have to be done" if they ring me first and explain. I'll way up the extra cost against what they tell me needs doing.
I am not intrerested in paying for extras that "would be nice to get done".
example, I have trolley jacks, ramps etc and i can just as easily rotate tyes at home when I deem necessary. As for balancing, if the the car or steering wheel don't shudder when I rotate the wheels then it don't need a wheel balance as far as i am concerned.
if it does then the local mechanic is far cheaper than Nissan.
Anyway, time wwill tell
cheers all and have a great day....the cheese and kisses is dragging me off to Liverpool markets right now so by 4 now.
