Re:

Thanks guys! Much appreciated! emoticon

Dave, the rear bash is going on after this emoticon Had to wait for the relocation to be done before putting on the bash plate.

Another question, does it matter if wires 2 and 5 are connected or not connected to the flat cable? I'm not going to bother with the 2 smaller ones at this point since they are not needed.

Re:

Nissan used 2 self tappers and screwed it to the plastic bumper, I wish I had not had Nissan fit any accessories to my car. The window tint they said was the best you could get and no one would fit it cheaper is low grade trade tint.

Re: Relocating the trailer plug in the T31

Reggie,
Pin 2 was NOT connected in the socket when I purchaed my vehicle from NISSAN.
Pins 1, 3-7 were connected. (plus the othe two smaller wire you mentioned on the separate connecting points).
According to Australian Caravan and Trailer wiring info, PIN 2 is for auxiliary/reversing lights and PIN 5 for Electric brakes so unless you have a trailer with electric brakes and reversing lights then I guess you don't have to use them.

When I extended the cable to enable me to put socket inside the rear compartment of vehicle I simply copied what was provided by Nissan so I guess if I towed any trailer with electric brakes then I should already be OK 'cause PIN 5 is connected. I have not tested whether there is power on pin 5 when I put brakes on.

cheers

Re:

It all depends on the brake unit fitted Dave, some units require a separate Anderson plug to be connected to the trailer.

Re:

Cool. Thanks again. Pins 2 and 5 weren't connected originally to the plug so I'll leave them unconnected for now.
