Hi Jalal, Scott,
There seems to be a number of caravan parks in the area, The Beach, The Sunset, The Lakeside. Is there any preference locked in.
Regards
John

The lorikeet caravan park is also on the water with a short walk to the beach and it is my prefered choice although it is outside Woolgoolga it has a good set up of tent sites and cabins and also a good amount of BBQ's.

A lot more room to move so to speak!Click here to see the web site

I can approach them if you like as well to get a response from them!

Regards Scot

Yes Scot, might as well, as the Woolgoolga Beach seems to think that the peak period finishes on 8/10/2011. so they will be charging us one night at shoulder rate I reckon. I also prefer the accommodation at the Lorikeet.

They will do a BBQ dinner as well if people want to for so much per head but the price has not been discussed yet.

I reckon we lock in these dates so we can start to secure the type of accommodation we want and save on disappointment if left too late!

Regards Scot

Thanks Scot. Sounds good mate.

The dates are now locked for 7-9 of October, 2011

If you do get an email back from the Woolgoolga Beach CP, please post them here as well.

Re:

Am sorry Scot, but you're rushing it. We need to know what is the cut off date for booking as a group, so far we're in the organizing stages of this event and more members are expected to join, so will the caravan park offer them the same discount and deal?

I prefer us all to be in the same place for easier evening function organization.

Oh, I think we should now go on 10 of October. hahahahaha emoticon (just kidding)

Re: QLD & NSW Meet up late 2011

In mu opinion of the 2 places the Lorikeet would be the better if the pricing is the same, although it is a bit further from town.

Once we have all the details finalised it might be worthwhile getting in touch with the NPWS and see if their discovery rangers were available for the weekend and at what cost.

Re:

Hi Alan,

There is much wider selection of cabins at the Lorikeet indeed and the accommodation as well as surroundings are far newer and nicer than Woolgoolga Beach CP, so my personal preference is Lorikeet. We just need to know how late we can book the accommodation cause am not expecting to book ours (for example) until I get the Red Bull emoticon
