Yep Stephen, that combination worked perfectly well for my T30, except you don't really need the slotted rotors at the back and I doubt your rear rotors will need replacing at all. My T30 is still using the factory rear rotors and they have been machines ones.

Re: T31 X-Trail Brake Pads & Rotors

I got two following quotes for RDA and DBA rotors and pads

RDA

Front slotted rotor $300 a pair
Rear slotted rotor $200 a pair
Extreme pad $75 a set

DBA

Front slotted rotor $360 a pair (T2, 4x4)
Bendix 4x4 pad $85 a set

They also told me to consider to upgrade my brake hoses to stainless for $480.

My front one's pad still have 60% but rear one got only 40% the mechanic said I could leave it to the next service but I really like to have the rear pads changed. After reading your positives post of the slotted rotor and Bendix pads combination I can't help thinking of changing it emoticon

Re: XTrail T31 Brake Pads & Rotors

Hi Guys,
Told my mechanic I want new rotors fitted & advised the DBA T2 slotted as what I want. He suggested in his experiences (in general not X-Trail) that drilled are better than slotted.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Re:

For race cars yes, for SUVs definitelt not as they tend to overheat pretty quickly and ill shorten the life of the pads.

Re: T31 X-Trail Brake Pads & Rotors

Just got a quote for the DBA slotted rotors (part: DBA2316S). From [sign in to see URL] they are located in Willawong QLD 4110

These rotors will be $[sign in to see URL] inc gst each. Freight to Sydney would be about $15.

If anyone is interested that looks like a pretty good price to me. Apparently it will take 2 weeks to order in.

Just got DBA slotted rotors (part: DBA2316S) for $110 each from MRT Performance in Rhodes, NSW. They wanted $[sign in to see URL] but I talked them out of it emoticon

The mob in QLD were out of stock until apparently late July (2 months to get in brake rotors... what the?).

Re:

My RDA front rotors arrived today. They are slotted and dimpled (not cross drilled - I was strictly warned against drilled one) - $265 for the pair.

Also went all out, and matched the new rotors with the EBC Greenstuff 6000 series. They were $135 for the pair.

Will install them on the weekend.
