Jalal, will do the experiment tonight for sure!! emoticon

Thanks Translucidus for the RainX explanation. Now I know what I should buy next when I visit auto shop. Will definitely buy one of that together with chrome polish liquid (my chrome ST logo at the back is somehow showing a kind of rusty mark after I washed the car using Meguiar Gold Class car wash shampoo last week T_T)

Re:

Use a white cleaning vinegar on the outside with some hot water but just beware getting it on the paint works extremely well to get rid of the built up grease and grim and makes the windows really shine better than any chemical based window cleaner!

Re:

Hey, just an update regarding this windscreen cleaner. I apparently bought RainX from AutoOne store 2 weeks ago, applied to the windscreen and still waiting for the rain to pour during the weekend. Not much rain recently here in Sydney, so I can't really notice how RainX works so far.

Thanks Scot for the 'hack' using vinegar. Will try that whenever I run out of RainX emoticon

Re:

Here you go everyone here are some recipies for making your own window cleaner

Cleaning mirrors and windows:

Cleaning glass method 1:
Pour 1/4 cup white vinegar in a 500 ml spray bottle. Top up with water. Spray on windows and mirrors and wipe off with a lint-free rag.

Cleaning glass method 2:
For dirtier outside windows you can combine 1/2 teaspoon liquid soap to the above mixture. Shake bottle well.

Cleaning glass method 3:
Pour 1 tablespoon cloudy ammonia into a 500 ml spray bottle. Top up with water. Shake well and spray on windows. Wipe off with a lint-free rag.

Hope this helps!

Regards Scot

Re: What brand of wiper fluid you're using?

Woww.. great hacks, Scot! emoticon. Will definitely make one of them once I run out my current Eagle One Glass cleaner.

PS: what is lint-free rag?

Re:

Bars Bugs does the job for us. I buy the little bottle of concentrate which lasts me months, depending on driving conditions of course. Our last car we bought new from the dealer and had it for 3 years, never had an issue with BB clogging lines or anything.

Will give the Rain-X and clean water combo a go next, I'm curious!
