Why no K&N

Hi all,

I apolpgise if my question was answered somewhere, but I could not find it.
I read lots of post about fitting a K&N filter and the advantages but when I visit K&N's web site and punch in my X-Trail's details (2002 2.5 4X4 auto), I don't find a product for it.
Am I missing something here?

Thanks
Pierre

Re:

Hi Pierre,

THIS is the K&N filter part number you need. It is the same for all T30 2.5 petrol models, so if you select 2004 from the list on the K&N website, it will show-up.

Re: Why no K&N

Ahhh - thanks a lot for that!
Whilst on the topic - I noticed that my X-trail doesn't perform on hot days than on cold days.
It might have something to do with the temp of the intake air.
So I will have a look at K&N's cold intake system as well. As long as it does not result in more of a risk of water and dust intake when I go offroading or do river crossings.

Cheers
Pierre

Re:

Pierre,

We have discussed the CAI (cold air intake) set-up in detail in another thread and yes, there are risks involved in having this set-up without the bypass valve.

Please refer to the existing thread and ask follow-up questions there.
