posticon Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2011

Dear Members,

Some of you already counting down the days and hours in preparation for holidays (either overseas or within Australia), so I would like to take this opportunity to wish all members and their families a good Xmas and a superb New Year.

Please look after yourselves if you're driving and make sure you take plenty of photos to share with us when you return.

Re: Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2011

Wendy and Myself would like to extend a very merry Christmas to all the members on the forum and their family's.

Wendy and I will not be doing much as this fostering thing with the dogs takes up a lot of time at present.

I can only agree with Jalal,

Please look after yourselves if you're driving

and keep safe over the holiday period and see you all online with your exciting stories !

Take care all! emoticon

Regards Scot

Re: Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2011

Hope everyone has a great time over the festive season, and safe travelling.

I'm about to be on my way from FNQ to Armidale NSW to visit family, and hoping the Great Inland Highway will be open all the way. emoticon emoticon

Re:

Maybe on the way back Scott. Plan to return via Brissie and the Sunshine Coast.

In Sarina tonight after an easy drive down the Bruce Highway from the Atherton Tableland. Tomorrow will turn off at Rockhampton and weave my way down the Burnett, hopefully without detouring to Kingaroy to dodge flooding, to join the New England Highway.

For anyone else out on the road, watch out for the crazies, of which there seem to be many. I set my cruise control to 100kph and I'm amazed at the amount of vehicles overtaking me. Lots of tailgating. Beginning to wonder if my speedo is out. emoticon

Merry Christmas everyone from FREEZING London.

Not quite a White Christmas but we've had plenty of snow during the holiday so happy enough.

Hope everyone had a great day and good times with family and friends.

Merry Xmas All and a Happy and Safe New Year!

I echo the 'watch out for the crazies' comment after the Lismore to Sydney run I did this week.

Re:

... and watch out for water on the road. The Burnett Highway was a virtual swim for the exy, thankfully there were enough other vehicles on the road to drive through flooded waterways first so I could see it was safe. At least the multiple underbody wash removed all the Chillagoe mud.
I'm just south of Coffs Harbour right now and the sun is trying to come thru, first sun I've seen in two weeks. But wondering how long it will take all the water to subside in Qld so I can get home again.
