There wouldn't be much of a boot left either with all the mechanicals for the roof. Interesting too see what other manufacturer will go this way, maybe a topless Prado. nondisclosed_email@example.com (cooch t31)Tue, 30 Nov 2010 05:15:03 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048182,from=rss#post2048182https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048182,from=rss#post2048182Tony, Am sure Nissan didn't just cut the roof away from the standard Murano and called a cabriolet There is much involved in designing it and they would have done all test to make it road safe.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Mon, 29 Nov 2010 19:14:24 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048180,from=rss#post2048180https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048180,from=rss#post2048180What I meant by structural integrity is that all convertibles tend to flex and feel sloppy taking corners. All because they don't have a roof to stiffen them up. If a car was released a factory convertible like the MX5, that would be different as they are built only as a convertable. Probably why they called it a cabriolet.nondisclosed_email@example.com (cooch t31)Mon, 29 Nov 2010 18:12:07 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048166,from=rss#post2048166https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048166,from=rss#post2048166This Murano Cabriolet goes hand in hand with the 2011 Murano model that will be released shortly in the diesel version and a new shape and which Australia won't get either as stated HERE Oh, you pay more for convertibles because it's considered a luxury and the same applies for all convertible models I don't think the structural integrity plays a major part with convertibles, as they aren't designed for off-roading (the case with the Murano) or car racing like it the case with other convertibles, it's a seasonal recreational vehicle and has very limited use.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Mon, 29 Nov 2010 07:17:55 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048165,from=rss#post2048165https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048165,from=rss#post2048165Looks OK especially with the white leather interior. Don't think it would be too stable on the road, I mean all that weight with no roof. One third of a cars structural integrity is through its roof. Its odd that you have to pay more for a car with no roof that is less stable on the road. Nice concept though I think only Americans would fall fall it. nondisclosed_email@example.com (cooch t31)Mon, 29 Nov 2010 05:26:17 +0000 New Nissan Murano 2011.......CONVERTIBLE!https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048163,from=rss#post2048163https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2048163,from=rss#post2048163That's right guys, Nissan has launched the all new Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet in the US and it will go on sale early 2011 over there. Details HERE And the video of the LA car show debut launch can be seen below: Personally, I reckon it's a fantastic idea by Nissan and will certainly attract some buyers to this class, as Nissan seem to have addressed a known problem with Cabriolets and that is the lack of room for 4 adults and lack of luggage capacity at the back. Sadly, Australia will never see this Murano as it will only be built in left hand drive version as stated HERE I reckon it looks cool too nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Mon, 29 Nov 2010 05:05:35 +0000
