Re: Factory Tyres - How Long??

70,000 - one blowout sealed the fate of the rest emoticon

I think time is also a factor - be wary of keeping rubber on a vehicle older than 4yrs especially if long runs at the max speed limit is anticipated.

Re: Factory Tyres - How Long??

Hi Guy/Gals...My 2006 TiL Petrol has covered 52000kms since we bought it from new, 75% of those Kms has been towing a 1500kgs Jayco Discovery Pop-top, we have just changed the tyres.
All of the towing and other road work has been on the Black top, no off road stuff.

Re: Factory Tyres - How Long??

Hi to all,
Today after 23 months and 81,700 klm the original Bridgestone Duellers were removed to make way for the Yokohamas. No, I don't drive like grandma but I don't corner to the limits of adhesion neither. Most of the kilometres have been to and from work, down the Bruce Hwy to Brisbane. Add to that 2 trips to Jindabyne, the 6500 klm trip to Tassie and the few forum outings. They have been through water, mud, snow, gravel, beach sand, I think I've got them all. To cover the 81,700,000 metres with the 2154 mm circumference, they would have rotated 37,929,433 times, courtesy of the QR25.
