The X-Trail

Hi

I purchased my 08 Twilight T31 X-trail ST at auction in January 2010 as a replacement for a vs Commodore wagon. Other previous rides include Datsun 1200 sedan, ute and coupe (2 modifided with 1500cc motor etc), numerous utes and small tippers (presently a 90 model Canter). The X-trail is a daily driver and also my second work vechile used for any possible task not requiring the truck.

Feel free to ask questions, make sugestions or comment in general.

Thanks Jalal.

I'm excited about those twins. I had my eye on them as a future mod but when oppertunity knocks. Should be fitted in a fortnight but knowing me make that 3 weeks. I am doing some pre change fuel consumption averages on the old exhaust now and the new one when fitted.

Forgot to list the forum sticker and member no on the back window too.

Cheers

Hi Matt,

How do you like your car seat covers ??
I'm looking at getting a some soon and your choice there looks pretty good/practical.

Do they fit well for a universal cover ?

Re: The X-Trail

Hi Squeemy

The wetsuit material on the covers streach so they are a neat tight fit, I wanted waterproof but none of the good canvas companys would do the rear seat and thats where the kids are. The rear cover is custom made and uses zippers to allow the middle seat come down as the gap is too tight. I cant fault the quality and they are pretty comfy.

Cheers

Re: The X-Trail

Woo Hooo!

Finally found someone to bring the twins up from Sydney, and they will be in good company(on the beer delivery truck). I couldnt beleive the excuses from couriers, carriers etc for not being able to deliver them. Expect to pick them up early next week, hopefully with one of their travelling partners emoticon

Re: The X-Trail

The exhaust was picked up today after missing last weeks delivery. I couldnt help but install them as the gasket at the top end is the same as a 6 cyl holden so an aftermarket alternative was available at the local spares. It was harder to get the old one off than install the twins as all the rubbers swap over and I didnt want to damage them. In all, it took about an hour and a half, including cutting the rear bumper with a 4' grinder. The surface rust on the old exhaust was bad too for only 2 years old. I did an ECU reset and a quick test run. It sounds good and there is a noticable difference in performance. They also look great, my wifes freind wants some for her forrester!

Re: The X-Trail

Good stuff Matt, make sure you post your reviews and feedback about it in the Hi-Tech T31 CVT thread for others to read and ask you questions if they want to.
