I don't know what's going on with the specs at the moment but the 2011 ST AWD models coming from our local dealer have the old steel wheels and black door handles.

I don't think that's the new model, it sounds like an old stock 2010 version (Series II) and the dealer should be selling it as such rather than branding it as the new shape 2011 (Series III) one. Check the front and rear of the car, as the new 2011 Series III has LED Tail Lights and new shape headlights.

Re: Face-lift for the T31 X-Trail (Series 3) - Including 2WD Version

Jalal,
It has the new led tail lights and new headlights. I asked if it was old stock but they said not.
I havn't asked for pricing but one would expect that it should be cheaper than the proper spec cars. The ones they have, have a window tint, so maybe the chrome handles and alloys are the trade off for the tint.

Re:

That is strange indeed, as the Nissan website shows 17" alloys and chrome door handles for BOTH 2WD and 4WD ST Series III versions (see details HERE)

Re: Face-lift for the T31 X-Trail (Series 3) - Including 2WD Version

I dropped the Xy in this morning for its 70k service and had a look around at the new 2wd X Trails.
i took this picture from underneath the rear of the car and look at all that space.
Plenty of room to get an auxillary fuel tank in the well.

Also the interior has a silly looking coin area for where the 4wd selector used to be and obviously no down hill assist button.

The petrol motor has been reduced to the M20 instead of the QR25 and fuel economy is rated at 8.5l/100 highway cycle.

Also I had noticed that the series 3 TI now has headlight washers on the bumper.

Yeah Tony, the 2WD T31 x-trail has exactly the same engine and power rating as the new Dualis.

The Series 3 Ti has washers on the bumper because it has the Xenon HID headlights.

Re: Face-lift for the T31 X-Trail (Series 3) - Including 2WD Version

Hi Guys,

Has anyone seen the T31 Series 3 in Burning Red anywhere?

Since Nissan Australia introduced the Burning Red as an option with the Adventure edition, I have only seen one on the streets. I haven't come across any red T31's at the dealerships.

If you come across a Series 3 in Red, can you please take a photo and post it here?

Re:

I parked next to a brand new one (one week old) the other day. Unfortunately did not have my camera or my phone on me (but I did have a forum card which I quickly gave the driver).

Looks sweet, love the rear tail lights. Only thing to make it better of course would be rails!

Re:

I haven't seen a red series 3 either.
I thought that it was released only with the Adventure edition.
