Re:

Hi Guys,

The Series 3 was recently launched in the UK.

Interestingly enough, the Diesel is advertised with a towing ability of 2,200KG over there in Europe compared to 2000KG for Australia and it makes you wonder why?

Details HERE

Re:

I have a question for the series 3 owners.
Does the MFD (multy function display) in the centre of the dash show a digital read out of the speed you are doing?
What else does it display?
Thanks

Re: Face-lift for the T31 X-Trail (Series 3)

Center display shows:
1. Fuel consumption ( bar graph and average )
2. Trip time
3. Trip distance
4. Trip average speed
5. Distance to service info.
6. Auto. Transmission gear
7. Cruse control status.

Works great.

Yep I would have liked to have seen current speed.

Would also have been nice to show cruse control set speed.

Re: Face-lift for the T31 X-Trail (Series 3)

Anyone notice the 2wd version of the T31 (series 4 I think they are calling it) is now on sale? Appears to be substantially cheaper than the AWD version

Re:

Yes Dave, I meant to make a post about this. The salesman at the local Nissan dealership told me that the Series 3 T31 is now available in 2WD version as well, but the 2WD version is only available in the ST (manual and CVT) and ST-L (CVT).

The 2WD version is about $5,000 grand cheaper than the 4WD version. It is a 2.0LT petrol engine with 102KW in power (compared to 125KW for the 4WD 2.5LT version), so it's suitable for the local school runs and I believe will be a very popular choise for those who do't want to venture off-road and don't do any towing.

Nissan's formal announcement is HERE

I think we should refer to this version of the exy as XTRALIS emoticon

Re: Face-lift for the T31 X-Trail (Series 3) - Including 2WD Version

I believe they are calling all the 2011 X-trails series 4. Apart from the 2wd model, the all wheel drive models now have a 4wd badge on the back, and the ST models now have 17inch alloy wheels (same as the ST-L and TS)

Re: Face-lift for the T31 X-Trail (Series 3) - Including 2WD Version

I don't know what's going on with the specs at the moment but the 2011 ST AWD models coming from our local dealer have the old steel wheels and black door handles.

They have the 2wd base model in stock as well and it has the new alloys and chrome door handles.

I have the latest spec sheet. It says chrome handles and alloys on the awd ST. I asked the sales person what is going on, are they still selling old stock and why don't their stock match the spec sheet. They told me that every dealer gets different spec cars that don't always match the published specs.

Does anyone know of dealers that have the ST with allow wheels?
