Re:

So I had my front wheel bearing hubs replaced and after I picked up the car and I'm driving home (after I stopped to fix the brake dust covers rubbing on the rotors) I hear random clanking / clicking sounds again, I take it back a couple of days later and the guy tells me the workshop manual states the toque setting for the Axle nuts is 295nm and they don't have anything that goes that high (Jax-quick-fit) and I should take it to Nissan to tighten up.
Customer service right there (not to mention the $1000 I spent on new tires D697's, wheel alignment, and road worthy)

It's cheaper with less hassle to buy a torque wrench off evil-bay and do it up myself. Can anyone confirm the axle nuts need to be at 295nm?

Re: T31 Axle Splines causing clicking noise.

Yep, 295nm is the torque setting. I went to 300nm. Jack up the front end and put stands underneath. Take the wheels off, split pins out and get someone to put thier foot on the brake. Tighten axle nuts to 295nm and insert new split pins and your done. Axle nut size is 32mm.

Can anyone confirm the torque required for the front axel nuts? My (ebay) workshop manual lists 125Nm, but above I read 295Nm? Thanks

Re: T31 Axle Splines causing clicking noise.

My Nissan Workshop Manual 2006, confirms that the front driveshaft nut torque is 214 Nm, or 30 Kg-m, or 217 ft-lbs....depending on which unit your torque wrench is using.

Thanks for that. Bit confused, you've got 214 Nm or 217ft-lbs but when I convert 217 ft-lbs to Nm I get 295Nm? Does that manual cover t31 ? The car is 2012 TS.
