exy "must have" accessories or mod's?

Hi All,

We are picking up our 2007 exy xtreme from the dealer tomorrow so quite excited to get behind the wheel. Don't really intend to do much off-roading so ,bearing in mind the car is stock standard, what would you suggest are the ""must have's" in accessories, mod's etc.

Mike

Take a look at my exy and you will see the mods I got from the xtrail shop.

one mod I would suggest even if you do not want to do a lot of off road is a bash plate as it will save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

If you want to see the mods in person then come along to the camp out in November or pm me and we can set up a meeting if you would like!

Consider my exy as the online shop demo model emoticon

Gday Mike,

as you say you dont intend on doing a lot of off-roadin, I would suggest, in no particular order....
Some good quality seat covers, front and rear.
A cargo net, as opposed to a cargo barrier, as it is easier to install and remove as required.
A dash mat, saves a lot of heat being reflected into the cab.
A front windscreen sun block (you know, those silver foil collpsible things for when the cars in the sun)
A good window tint, if it hasnt been done.
The "key in ignition chime" mod. That is one annoying sound.emoticon guide

Personal choice...but a stereo head unit with blue tooth to replace the stock system. Or go the whole way, and get a DVD/TV/Reverse camera set up.

If all your recalls are done, and the vehicle has had a good quality inspection, you should be right. The above "mods" will let you drive in comfort, and also protect the car.
 Cheers

Re: exy "must have" accessories or mod's?

Hi Mike (wizard14),

The answer to your question really depends on your personal taste and what you're planning to use your xtrail for. There are practical mods ad there are cosmetic ones to enhance the xtrail in the looks departments and our forum covered nearly every aspect of these modifications, some of which are available through our Online Shop and some others been discussed extensively here on the forum and displayed in the Members Rides section for you to explore.

I suggest you do some searching on the forum and visit the members rides section to make-up a list of what you feel would suit your needs and taste better.

This thread can only cover so much of what we all think you should do, but the end call is yours to make as it is your taste and your car.

i think the exy is "perfect just the way it is" emoticon although definitely the one thing that annoys me is that I cant plug in my ipod - Alan im waiting for your review so I can make my final decision (sorry Jalal I know thats of topic emoticon )

Actually thinking about it, I think the best mod on mine that I have added has to be the glovebox light

Re: exy "must have" accessories or mod's?

Hi Mike,

I reckon you can't go past having a strut bar (see online shop). I have found it makes a huge difference to the handling - namely firming things up and better cornering.

I also agree with Dave - a good quality window tint is worth the $$, particularly coming into summer.

I would also recommend (for practical and cosmetic purposes) a nudge bar and some weathershields.

Actually, let's be honest, I could go on to recommend everything I've done to my exy 'cause I love it all....but those 4 would be the top ones.

Enjoy kitting out your Exy emoticon

Cheers,
Kristy

No shares in the on line store but own a business featured in the discount section. Its just that when I first looked at the online store I figured I could spend a whole lot of money there and save a heap at the same time. Getting managment approval is another thing seeing that it is "the boss's car"
