Genuine kit has only one switch and the instructions tell you how to operate ie short press to answer and long press to hang up.

Volume is adjusted on Stereo Head unit as sound is via stereo speakers.

Enjoy.

Thanks very much for the information. I can't wait to have it installed emoticon

Eddie, I think it's a lot cheaper to have it installed at an auto electronic workshop. If you have it installed by Nissan, they will call one of these technician from the auto electronic workshop anyway and they get the commision out of it you end up pay a lot more. I know this because my friend is an auto electrician he works as a contractor for lot of different car companies ..eg toyota, ford, nissan.

Re:

Guys why don't you try and fit it yourselves, it only took me about 20 mins. The hardest part is screwing the bracket on under the dash above the pedals, not hard either just fiddley.

Had a look at the ebay item and found it strange to only come with the one button, no volume. Then I noticed that it was suited for a Nissan Micra, are they the same?
The kit I installed looked a lot different.

Re: Genuine Nissan Bluetooth Kit

I received mine today, all good so far. Think I can shed some more light on the button mystery, they've packed 2 sets of fitting instructions for mine, single CD & 6 player CD. So the single CD version should be supplied with the BT Switch and a seperate BT Volume Switch as well as a relay box. The 6 player CD (as with all Ti's) only has the std BT Switch. I cannot understand why as you'd assume the BT Volume Switch as a requirement??

I rang Nissan today to book mine in for the 20K service. They've quoted my $240 for install only based on 2 hours labour. When I told them that the Nissan manual suggests 55mins fitting time, he still wouldnt budge saying its only a guide! Pffft!

Tony, the 2 x instructions I had supplied def are intended for T31 Xtrail...I would be curious as to why they differ!

Re:

Eddie,

Save your money and get your local auto electrician to fit it for you, I bet it will be less than half the Nissan price.

Re: Genuine Nissan Bluetooth Kit

Just installed the bluetooth kit myself today. It took me one and a half hour to do it but I'm very happy with my job "emoticonTony is right the hardest part is to remove the brackets behind the fuse box and put it back otherwise it isn't that bad. I bought a set of panel trim removal from the Auto One shop, cost me $48 emoticon but I tested my mobile phones (wife's as well) and the bluetooth works perfectly. emoticon

Re:

Good to hear everything went well, come to thing about it, I did probably spend about 20mins alone on that little bracket.
Definately worth it.
