Re: Genuine Nissan Bluetooth Kit
Hi Ross,
All T31 models don't have handsfree bluetooth as standard, it's an option. I've been thinking to have it installed for mine for a while now, it's just quite expensive, around $500-$650 not including installation (may cost another $100-$200). I'm also interested in hearing members who have nissan bluetooth installed for their exies regarding to its function and sound quality.
I think it's the same wether you have it installed by an auto electrician or by nissan dealer.Actually it would cost less if you go to an auto electrical workshop to have it installed because nissan technician don't usually do it, usually they have contract with an outside auto electrical workshop, have it done by them and they get comission on top of it. I have a friend who is an auto electrician and he does this for Toyota,Nissan,Lexus...etc...so yeah it's cheaper to go to an auto electric workshop.

For that sort of money you might as well upgrade your stereo unit to something decent with bluetooth built in to it. You can get decent units from about $400 with bluetooth + you will get a good upgrade in your sound too. + a lot more features. It's not that difficult to change the stereo.

Re: Genuine Nissan Bluetooth Kit
Yes Ceasar, I got myself a couple of those from "Catch Of The Day" website.
Very easy to use indeed and also has an LED screen that displays the number calling. The sound is very clear too.

Re: Genuine Nissan Bluetooth Kit
Got my self a genuine Nissan bluetooth kit for the Xy last week.
It arrived this afternoon and couldn't help myself and installed it.
Can honestly say that it works far better than the GPS bluetooth.
The instructions said it would take 60 minutes to complete and thats how long it took me.
Very easy, just plug it all in.
Also tried to bluetooth my ipod to it.
It connected but could not get the sound through the car speakers.
There must be a way.
edit.
The other thing that I find great too is that it connects and disconnects with the ignition, or if you are further than 10 meters from the car.
You can easily use it on private mode just by pressing the button 3 times, instead of going through the GPS menu to dis connect.

Re: Genuine Nissan Bluetooth Kit
I paid $170.50 delivered.
Not bad I thought for a brand new genuine unit.
Otherwise Nissan wanted $507.35 plus GST and I can't justify that sort of money for what it is.
