Re: rheostat for dimming instrument panel

Heyho, do you mean move, as in side to side? I tried to push, hold, turn, pull with both knobs and no luck emoticon . Well I did reset my trip meter A on which I was measuring consumption. Lights were on, as we have to have out lights on all the time here for safety reasons.
Cheers

Re:

I mean rotate the knob to the left and/or right. Do not push it as it will obviously reset your trip meter emoticon

Re: rheostat for dimming instrument panel

Hi Jalalski, do you mean move side to side or turn? I have turned every which way and I have the lights on all the time (safety regulation here). Anyway I will give it another go just to make sure.

Sorry for the previous second reply, I didnt see your answer before I clicked. Will give it another shot but I think I rotated all I could. Maybe its just not there on the Series 1. Will get back on this.

Re: rheostat for dimming instrument panel

I give up. No luck. Nissan has peeved me off for the first time not putting a rheostat in a car at this price. What were they thinking? At least they fixed it for series 2.

I managed to download the repair manual for the T31 as a result, how can I make that available to the forum?

Re:

Sorry to hear that mate, the Series 1 and 2 in Australia seems to have that feature available and so is my Series 4.

We already have the repair manual available on the forum.

Re: rheostat for dimming instrument panel

That is weird. I have a 2010 model which would make it a series 3 I guess. I will take it up with the dealer.

Re: rheostat for dimming instrument panel

No, classic bulbs. Does that make it a series 2? Actually, could you point me to where I can determine what series mine is? I bought it new at the start of October, but it was an older model - thus the price was reaůůy good.

Re:

If it doesn't have LED Tail Lights it would either be a Series 1 or 2 (depending on the manufacturing date), the date of purchase is irrelevant, it all comes down to the build date stamped on the vehicle and you can see the build date stamped on a plate in the engine bay.
