Re:

The price of oil is an irrelevant excuse made by the dealer. I agree

Everything else has increased in price and this applies to all the spare parts being used by the dealers and this is a direct result of the weaker Australian Dollar. That is a fact.

I'm not taking sides with Nissan and their service pricing policy, but am just saying that a price increase of $34 bucks over the 6 months service interval which is about $[sign in to see URL] a month is sustainable and reasonable to expect and more so because it is the first (or maybe 2nd) ever price adjustment of the capped service price since its introduction in 2011 I believe.

Re:

I know that it now states prices subject to change, but my documents from when I bought the car was Effective Date: December 2010 and no where does it say on the Xtrail Summary Pricing Sheet, or the T31 specific pricing sheet they gave us. I'm just wondering if I fight it, as this is what we were told when we bought the car. Yes it hasn't gone up much thus far, but it could. Even there ads say you can always be confident in knowing how much you will pay for your service. Well obviously not.
Perhaps they changed their documents after ours to stipulate the change.

I believe the young lass wouldn't have a clue and has been told that once and will continue to use it no matter why the price hike hahaha

Re: NISSAN Service Costs Comparison T31 X-Trail

You can certainly run it past Fair Trading and see what they say.

I have taken a photo with my iPhone of the capped pricing sheet when it was first introduced in December 2010 and it still has the "price is subject to change" clause in it.
