Ya I agree needs some bling. It's a blank canvas with which you can keep adding and adding to. Don't see any membership stickers or forum stickers yet either.

*hint hint*

Happy X-Trailing ...

Ben will be receiving his forum stubby coolers next week emoticon

Nice ride Ben, the exy looks so clean in that pic, it almost gives an impression of the pic being photo-shopped emoticon

Re: The Werewolf Killer

That's the baby just after it's been washed and it's still wet - and how's this, it's one of the photo's that the Nissan dealer took of it when it went up for sale....not a bad photograph actually.

Upgrade list that I want done...

New stereo system, incl head deck, speakers, sub, amp.
Front Bash plate
Lift kit for clearance (50mm Spacer kit looks the goods)
Rear area cover (2 x largish dogs will be in there at times, and I hate the hair going places)
Cargo barrier
Roof Racks, I've seen some that are key removable...any information about these ?

Ben

Re: The Werewolf Killer

Kenwood stereo now installed - The DIY instructions are money !!! I would have spend hours trying to pry off the facial without them.

A few drama's, went through 3 different Sony units and none worked properly...One wouldn't get out of demo mode (suspected main knob issue) One wouldn't turn on at all, and the third one would turn on, but the main knob wouldn't accept any left or right inputs.
Money back, drive to Autobarn, buy a kenwood head deck, have some guy in the carpark get the poops with me because I did in 5 minutes (literally, it's that easy) what he just paid some guy at Autobarn $110 to do for him haha

Sound....4000 times better, I was going to change the front and rear speakers...not needed, amp + sub will be done next.

Thanks for the DIY - works a treat.

Re: The Werewolf Killer

Cool .. don't be shy about pics of the new head unit. I considered a Kenwood but had a heart attack at the cost of nearly $2000 for one. Double DIN one anyways. This weekend I'm going to finish the final modifications to my new head unit and get some pics up on the forum, at the moment it is a little askew LOL. Drill bit slipped making new mount holes but nothing I can't fix with a needle file.
Also with the wiring harnesses ... did you go from Nissan to ISO then to Kenwood or did you splice into the factory wirings and go straight into the Kenwood ?

Re: The Werewolf Killer

Hi Ben,

I'm glad that the DIY we have on the forum has helped you save a small fortune.

Can I ask that you guys shift the discussion about head units and any pics or installation tips to the corresponding forum section (Audio & Visual) so other members can benefit from it, rather than having this information hidden away in intro posts which can't be searched on.
