Less weight than it sounds really. And not very top heavy at all.

Re: My little drive in the country during Aug/Sept 09

Good luck, safe travels and great memories!

Did a few thou kms back in 2001 through Qld, NT, SA and back to Qld in the GU Patrol.

We only used the 20L jerrycan in the Petrol GU after crossing the Simpson desrt and the Cruiser with us got a holed diesel tank emoticon so got a topup from some other guys running traybacks with diesel tanks on the back....

I reckoned that I used about about 120L of ULP to cross the French line from Mt Dare to Big Red in my 4.5 GU Patrol (back in 2001)..... and that was not under optimal conditions.

Scareyann I would love to hear how this trip went. Looks like it would have been an absolute corker. Especially like to hear about how the Exy went towing a camper trailer.

Steve (loafer) did you ever do a trip report for you Alice Springs trip? Would love to hear about yours too.

Re:

Wow a while ago now and I didn't do the trip report either.

Didn't take a trailer, camped most of it either in the exy or outside with a few motels stops when I felt like it.

The exy went great for the entire run and the second time 6 months later (longer run) when a friend from the states dropped by.
