Border Ranger National Park

Hi Guys,

Has anybody been to Border Ranger National Park in Northern NSW?
If so, are there any tracks you can recomend?

Would love to hear from anyone who's been there.

Thanks
Ty

Re: Border Ranger National Park

Gidday Ty,

I did the Tweed Range drive (which runs through the Border Ranges Park) about this time last year. As the guys have already said, it's a very easy run and is 2WD rated.

It's worth the drive though, since it is one of the rare opportunities to do a drive through World Heritage forests (the Parks services are closing off most access roads these days). Plus, the scenery is unbelieveable.

Re: Border Ranger National Park

Hi Guys,

And thanks for all replies.
You are all wellcome to join as soon as I know when we are going.
My MIL (mother in law) lives in Coffe Camp and she mentioed the park. So we are planing to go sometime.

The problem (well not really a problem) is that my wife is due to give birth in the next two weeks. So need to stay close to the Gold Coast hospital. But once things have setteled down We will be looking to go.

Just one question Dave, Is it gravel or bituman?

Cheers
Ty

Re: Border Ranger National Park

Hi again,

It's gravel and it's worth driving a little slowly...not because the Exy can't handle it, but because some of the gravel they've used is rerally heavy guage blue metal which flies up and damages things. I have several scars around and on my wheels thanks to the Border Ranges gravel.
