Yengo 2009
Hey Guys,
Well, just home from a great trip!!! The much discussed rain held off until the drive home and we had a nice day. Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves. A lot of pics were taken, so I haven't added too many of mine here.
Here's the story......
We met at the Halfway Roadhouse, which could invest in some more parking. As you can see, the Forum kind of monopolised the place.
There were an awful lot of us there. Did we break the record....read on. After some chat and a cutting of the Australian X-Trail Forum cake (does someone have a pic of that!!!) we set off for the dirt.
At times, the trails were like a carpark. Some of the lads decided to start the drinks early.
Then it was off into the park. As we discussed, the trails were of an easy grade and with a few exceptions, didn't cause any real challenges. The biggest problem was the dust. Who said Sydney had a lot of rain? The radio chat was pretty interesting. Most of it revolved around whether the T30 or T31 was better. I can't imagine what anyone listening on Ch 26 must have thought. Then, about 30km in, the boys found a tougher little side track to play on. Unfortunately it was bloked by a big tree, or more of us might have had a play on it.
Then it was off for some lunch and a close encounter with a hungry local or two.
And then......it was time to do the official record photo..... Yep, we broke the record....20 Exies started and completed this trek!!!
A lot of photos were taken, as I said, so expect plenty of group shots. It was a BIG roll out and a great day. We headed into Wollombi creating quite a sight for the locals. A few times people were kind of standing dumbfounded on the edge of the road wondering where all the Nissan X-Trails were coming from.
Thanks to everyone for attending. I know some of you had to cover a fair bit of ground. Thanks to Chris and Emma for leading us all safely. Thanks to Jalal for the bushfire rafffle (won by Mr Bump!!!) and raising $185 for the Victorian appeal.
Where are we going next......somewhere that can take 30 Exies perhaps!!!

Re: Yengo 2009
Thanks to everyone for a great day and just to prove the theory that too much dirt is never enough we ventured down the old colonial road into St Albans on the way back. Can't wait for the next adventure and this time I'll charge the camera batteries and remember to put the memory cards back in...

Re: Yengo 2009
Hi Guys,
Firstly, I would like to thank Dave and Chris for starting the thread for this trip and for their enthusiasm in bringing many xtrailers together. No one expected that it will turn out to be so huge!!!
I got home at 6:30pm and was starving as I only had one sandwich and that was it, we were all too busy talking and chatting and forgot about food until I hit the F3 LOL
What an awesome day it turned out to be today and it was just perfect in every aspect. The weather, the people, the cars and the track
Here is the list of all those who attended today:
Here is a shot of our invasion of the Halfway Roadhouse
And HERE is the video version of it.
Dennis & Val (sexy rexy) were very kind and got a special surprise for us to mark the occasion of the record attendance. Thanks guys, the cake was lovely
Video of the grand entrance into the track. Look at that traffic jam LOL
And some pics while on the track to our lunch spot (Mount Xtrail) LOL
And here are the shots of the new claimed Mount X-Trail
While we were having lunch, we had a nice raffle where Wendy (shoni) has kindly donated a brand new TJM recovery kit for the forum to be raffled (thank you Wendy), so we thought it'll be an excellent opportunity to raise the needed funds for the Victoria Bush-fire Appeal. I would like to thank all you for actively taking part in this raffle and we have collected $185.00 which I have donated just now on behalf of the forum to the VIC Bush-fire Appeal through the Red Cross.
I didn't take any pics after lunch as I was pretty tired by that stage LOL But I did manage to take a couple of pics which you may find funny
And with all this talk about which exy is better T30 or T31, here are a couple of pics for you T31 guys LOL
Thanks all for coming, it was lovely meeting you all and always great to see new members and first-timers with us in these outings. Well done to all.
P.S. I reckon I won't bother putting back the chrome alloys, as I can't wait for the next trip already

Re: Yengo 2009
Hey guys, I have finally got home, after the road-trip from hell.
I had hail the size of squash balls (exy roof is damaged), flash floods closing the Highway, fallen trees that I has to drive over on my detour along the Putt Road and to top it off, car size bolders strewn along the road.
And to make matters worse, when I decided to catch a quick 10 minute power nap at the 'Halfway House' on the Putty Road at 6pm, I was 'tooted' by a passing x-trail. Come on, who was it, you robbed me of a decent sleep. LOL.
So, that is why it has taken me 6 hours to get home.
But it was a TOP trip, with a great bunch of people. I will upload my photos later.
