Re: Under door handle protection
It's the same thing on my wife's Tiida as the door handle design is the same as the T31. I found chrome inserts for the Tiida to cover these scratches that slot behind the door handle itself. I reckon the paint work is getting scratched by the fingernails of those opening the doors and Nissan have not put any paint protection there at all. Cutting a clear protective film and slotting it in there is also a good idea, but I reckon the chrome inserts to match the chrome door handles (on some of the T31s) will look much better.

Re: Under door handle protection
When i wash the car i give it a bit of a rub down with Tar & Bug Remover. Obviously it only it doesn't permantly get rid of or cover the scratches but hides them for the next 1 or 2 car washes.

Re: Under door handle protection
G'day Dronus
I've got them on mine as well, definetly caused by fingernails, especially with the kids.
A bit of polish will remove them easily.

Re: Under door handle protection
Hi Stephen,
I haven't found them or the chrome door handles for the T31 yet, but am looking and they're on my list
I got some spare ones from the Tiida which I will try on a T31 during the Yengo trip, as the door handles of the Tiida look very much the same as the T31. Let's hope they fit.

Re: Under door handle protection
There will be more T31 guinea pigs on the Yengo trip for you to try all your bits on Jalal.
What else are you going to bring along?

Only if you have room Jalal.
Or maybe bring the whole lot with you and run a mobile shop.
