ATTENTION ALL WA MEMBERS!

I find it timely to remind you all that there has only ever been one reported (that i can find) WA X-Trail meet up...

Whats happend to all you X-Trailers in WA?!
i see you roaming the streets and invading the introductions topic, so whats stopping us from having a jolly old time with a convoy of exees??

we NEED to organise a trip soon, may i suggest lancelin/wedge island???

I know being young and free, my availability is somewhat less restricted than some of the others here, but a few hours out of a day is all we need, and at least 2 other X-trails...

So im gonna start this off.

1. Cam + friend

(add your name to the list if you are in WA and interested, then we'll sort out dates/locations when a few X-Trailers are confirmed)

Thanks.

Cam.

Hi Cam,

What a great coincidence, I logged in today to start this thread and here we are. I'm new at Perth and don't mind going anywhere unless it is day tripper.

So here we go:

1. Cam + friend
2. Harish + family

Keep the ball rolling! emoticon

Re: ATTENTION ALL WA MEMBERS!

Hey guys, great to see some action out of the West.

Why not make it on the 21st or 22nd February? That way, we'll have 3 states on trips. Of course it may cause the forum to overload on Monday when we all get online to add the trip report but never mind. We only need to get NT, Tas, Vic and S.A to get a run happening and every state will be represented, what a scoop that'd be.emoticon

Good luck everyone! emoticon

P.S, Cam, as you seem to be the event organiser, don't forget to add a link in on your first post to the trip rules and ask Jalal to link it to the forum events calendar. If you need any help, just holler.

Re: ATTENTION ALL WA MEMBERS!

Okay!

Now that we have at least 3 'trailers confirmed, its timely to start organising the actual event itself.

but first, a bit of housekeeping. Everyone read this and this . As per AXTF (australian xtrail forum) rules, you need to read all this and understand. As do I emoticon

So now to the meetup...

Destination: Lancelin - Wedge Island.
Date: Saturday 21st February
Time: 8:00am
Meeting Point: Caltex, waneroo road (next to hungry jacks - on waneroo road)
Track Difficulty: knowing the time of year and the volume of traffic at this time, the tracks and beach will be quite hard/easy. for example, when i was up there last weekend, i only let my tires down as a precaution, and they were still at 20pounds, and didnt get bogged once.
so out of 5 (5 being the hardest) id give it a rating of 2.

Is this all ok with everyone?
Anything else needing to be discussed?

Cam.

P.S. i dont see it quite fair that i appoint myself as leader, im 18 and lets be honest, i probably lack the experience to lead an offroad trip. So does anyone else want to be called the "leader"?

I agree with Cam and ask that a more experienced member nominate themselves as the leader for the trip. You will need to have a UHF radio at the very least and email me your mobile number before the trip to the admin mailbox.

Cam can remain as the event organiser.

Re: ATTENTION ALL WA MEMBERS!

heck yes lets do this

1. Cam + friends
2. Harish + family
3. Leo + friend
4. Richard + friend(s)

my experience level is moderate but have only been to wedge once so only vaguely know 1 or 2 tracks. i agree that it would be about grade 2 and i also only let tyres down to 20 and didnt get bogged (its great having a light car).

im hoping to have a UHF by then but not sure if i will

also Leo does your exy happen to be black? mine is and that would make 4 out of 4 if yours is too
