Re: Oversized Tires on T30? Is it possible, anyone done it?
Yes of course it is possible but there are consequences, some legality related, some mechanically related...
1. You will need to make sure there is no rubbing of tyres on guards and suspension components in all wheel positions (up, down, steering left/right).
2. Because of the increased rolling weight there will be slightly more wear and stress on CV joints.
3. Because of increased rolling diameter your speedometer will be inacurate so 100kph will be faster.
4. Depending on your Canadian regulations for road registration and insurance you may be over the legally allowed oversized tyre compared to the original tyre size fitted.
Check all these out before purchasing to make sure you are covered.

Am a bit confused as to how did you come to this conclusion and tyre size
It's 16" rim which means it's a 16" tyre and referred to as such, so maybe if you tell us the tyre size you wanna get, it'll make things easier to understand.

He's talking about the outside diameter of the tyre Jalal.

Re: Oversized Tires on T30? Is it possible, anyone done it?
Thanks Tony, I got it now, never had to measure the outside diameter in inches before LOL
Anyway, your current tyre size is actually 28.4" in diameter and the largest you can go in 15" tyres would be 235/75/15 which would make them 28.9" in diameter and these will throw your speedo out by 1.5% which is acceptable. They will also fill out the wheel arch by an extra 6mm which is acceptable and won't rub.
You can further experiment with different tyre sizes and the impact they may cause by using the tyre size calculator found in the technical section of our site HERE

Yes Rich
There was also a member on the Yengo trip that had the muds on, they didn't look oversized though.
Like you, my memory is shocking to remember who it was.
I know for sure it was a silver T30.
