posticon **Flash-Back**2008 Forum Statistics**

Hi Guys,

Just thought I'd give you an update on how the Australian X-Trail Forum has been going in the past year.

When I looked at the stats this year to find out that we have broken our own record for all previous years with the number of new members who have joined-up in 2008. (last year total was 243)

January 2008: 25 new members
February: 35
March: 31
April: 31
May: 31
June: 31
July: 34
August: 23
September: 27
October: 42
November: 29
December: 26

Total Number of New Members in 2008 is 365

And just like last year, The winner is October 2008 emoticon Those of you who joined-up in this month should give yourself a nice pat on the back. This seems like a popular month for new members emoticon

Since January 2008 our domain name of ([sign in to see URL]) has received over a MILLION hits on the ]Main Site.

The breakdown as shown here:

Here is a list of visitors that visited our forum from their countries in the past year:

Forum (Runboard) stats latest average is shown below:

--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--

The number of page hits our forum (board) has generated since June 2008 now stands at 1,351,030 hits. This is quite an achievement and proves that our forum is getting very popular indeed. Another One Million hits for the board itself.

We had the 1000th member join our forum this year too, which was quite a celebration.

I would like to thank everyone for their support, but special thanks go to the following members for their outstanding contribution through-out 2008:

Major Contributors

BRETT72 (Brett)
RevheadKev (Kev)
BlackThunda (Jamie)
loafer (Stephen)
cooch T31 (Tony)

Thank you guys!

Well, that sums it up I guess. What a fantastic year for the Australian X-Trail Forum and it will only get better from here with your continued support.

Jalal
Theres one name that is missing on the major contributors list and that is YOURS.
You never seem to give yourself credit, I mean lets face it, there wouldn't be so many people responding to the forum without your input.
Also all the admin staff which do a lot of unseen work.

I'm thankfull that you think I am a "major contributor" even though I've been a member since July.
Cheers.
Tony

Thanks Tony, much appreciated.

2008 has been a tough year for me personally on many fronts, but somehow I found refuge, calm and re-assurance during my time spent on the forum and by interacting and directly dealing with so many great members (most of whom I now call great mates) and it just gave me enough ammunition to keep this site growing.

It has become an important part of my life and daily routine and am sure many of you feel the same way. I get bombarded with emails if the site is having problems and is inaccessible, which proves to me that many of you got so used to be part of it, we just feel something is missing when it is not around emoticon

I am not sure how long this will last, but we should all be very proud of what we have achieved in the very short time we had this site live on air. It is being talked about in MANY countries around the world and this fact alone what makes our very own Aussie Forum so special and unique in terms of content and the level of information it offers emoticon

Contribution to the forum is not measured by length of time you've been a member or the number of posts you made throughout the year, it is measured by content, helpfulness, advice and guidance to other members and I think you have achieved that in the short time you've been part of the forum along with others.

My sentiments exactly emoticon

The forum is only as good as the way in which it is run and the responses from members also prove how valuable this conglomerate of information is emoticon .

Thanks to you, Jalal and the rest of your team. Here's emoticon to many more (successful) years to come.

Stephen

edit

PS
I am amazed that there were more "hits" from the US than from our home country, but I guess this isn't so suprising due to the vast population they have over there.

The majority of the US hits came from within Runboard, as there are many US based boards on Runboard and they come to us to have a look. It could also be attributed to the number of times our board was nominated for the "board of the month" and "board of the year" voting competitions which generated a lot of traffic from US based members. Finally, the Sentra guys in the US also view our forum to see what we do with our QR25DE engine which they have over there emoticon

365 new members for the year = 1 new member each day on average.
At that rate we'll get upto about 1500 members at the end of 2009.

A happy new year to all!!!

2008 has been a great year all round for us.

With the current economic crisis at hand I would like to wish each and every one of you prosperity in 2009. For those of you that will be affected, just remember it's only a passing phase, keep your chin up, and that hopefully it will be over soon.

Best wishes to you all, emoticon
