Re: T-31 Consumption Indicator.

Try running on Premium Unleaded (98Ron)! WOw, what a difference to my consumption....I now average 9.2 and can easily get down to a consistent 8.4 on a long run. Try it by resetting your indicator after you have filled up with premium fuel....

Re: T-31 Consumption Indicator.

Recently had a weekend away in the Blue Mountains and on our way home filled up with ULP at Mt Victoria and reset the trip indicators.
Consumption readings from Mt Victoria to the start of the F3 was 5.8l/100km (via M4 then M7) and by the time I got home to Newcastle it was 7.2litres/100km.
After several days of trips to work etc the average had risen to 8.5litres/100km.
Filled up with ULP and my calculated average was 8.4litres/100km.
Gotta be happy with that emoticon

Re: T-31 Consumption Indicator.

Consumption indicator in mine is pretty much spot on - have reset it a couple of times before trips and it isspot on. Currently shows 10.3l/100km for city driving. On a trip to Junee down the Hume, average dropped to 8.9l/100km. Extremely happy with the consumption compared to the old AU Ford (13.8l city and 8.8l highway). BTW fuel in the Gong is down to 95c/l as well - Agree totally Scott - enjoy the cheap fuel and the excellent response of the T31 emoticon

Re: T-31 Consumption Indicator.

Never had a problem with mine. Re-set it every time I fill up. I've seen figures below 9l/100km for steady highway driving, 10-11l/100km for normal driving (some highway, some town), 11-12l/100km's if I've been out on the trails and about 14l/100km if I've been stuck in the Sydney traffic light shuffle all day!

Re: T-31 Consumption Indicator.

By not resetting the indicator each time you will get an overall average of the consumption in combined conditions - just an interesting figure to look at. I haven't reset the indicator in my ute for a few months and it is sitting on 9.1L/100km which when I compare it to my own calculations is quite close.
