Re: Question re new diesel recommended running in procedure and service intervals

Although I notice every at 10000 the service is your basic oil change, and at 20000km it is more comprehensive. It follows that pattern right through. Thinking about only taking it to Nissan for every second service and doing the basic one myself...

Careful with that fangios.
Nissan might want to viod your warranty if you don't have a proper establishment do the 10,000km oil change and mark it in your book.

Re: Question re new diesel recommended running in procedure and service intervals

That is correct Kev.

New car warranty (Nissan Australia warranty that is) can only be maintained if the vehicle is serviced within the specified service intervals of every 6 months or 10,000kms (whichever comes first)

Changing the oil yourself would NOT count as maintaining the service schedule, unless you get the service book stamped by a mechanic.

Re: Question re new diesel recommended running in procedure and service intervals

True - I guess my local mechanic would do the job cheap. Strangly though I noticed there are instructions on how to change the oil in the owners manual - never seen that before!!
