Re: Conection for i-pod or USB

Found this Cassette Adaptor for Ipod in Macworld here.
I have not used this one but had a similar thing for my portable cd player many years ago to play cd's through the car cassette stereo.

Re: Connection for i-pod or USB

I have also used both FM transmitters and the cassette adapter for a portable CD player and I can say the following:

1. Sound quality of the FM transmitter is pretty poor and there is lots of interference.
2. Sound quality of the cassette adapter was very good, but the CD would skip tracks with every road bump LOL emoticon

I don't think the T31 xtrail head unit comes with the cassette slot as the Series I T30 Ti did, but I could be wrong.

Yoyr right Jalal
The T31 doesn't come with a cassette deck, only single/6 stack cd player and radio.

OK Tony, so if Jalal still has his old T30 unit after installing the DVD player unit then get it from him to replace yours and away you go.

Mine is (or was) an ST Kev, which only came with a single CD player and radio (no cassette slots either) emoticon

Re: Conection for i-pod or USB

I noticed today while at Nissan that the current model T31 is advertised with having an mp3 radio.
It was a ST-L model but was locked so I can't confirm a visual.

MP3 compatible would just mean it had capacity for burnt/ condensed discs wouldnt it? Not neccesarily (?) an Aux input jack for USB or Ipod?... emoticon

I recall reading mp3 input which I'm taking it as plug your ipod in.

Re: Conection for i-pod or USB

I was wondering about that myself, and have had a pretty good look around the cabin, and can find no input jack. I have asked the salesperson, and they were not entirely sure. emoticon

When and IF I pick mine up today, I'll have a look at the manual and see.

Regards,
David

Re: Connection for i-pod or USB

As far as I remember when I test drove the T31, the factory head unit was only capable of playing MP3 discs, not through an input jack. but I could be wrong.

All T31 models except the ST have a the MP3 compatible head unit.
