Re: T31 Auto Self Test Procedure

You will be pleased to know Jalal that I just performed the test on our blue baby outside and it wil prove a very useful test in the future, though I think it would be a better and more effective test to do during the darker hours than the middle of the day.
I can see the test for the air con and also the cooling fans diffrent speeds being very useful tools later in the T31-'s life.

Re: T31 Auto Self Test Procedure

Greetings from Colombia. Had been a while since I had been here.

My previous post on the inability to dim the panel rheostat on my T31 highlighted the fact that the folks that import the car into this market are insanely cheap, and get versions that are ridiculously stripped down. That function is not included in our model, said the dealer. Grrr.

I wonder if that is the reason why I cant get my T31 to do the self test procedure described here. The bulletin states that if it does not work one should "check door switch system". I have no idea what that means. My door switch system works fine, as far as I can tell.

Any insight on what to do here? The "driver door switch" is--I imagine-- the power switch that locks or unlocks all doors? When do you start furiously pressing 20 times? As soon as ingnition is ON? I've done several variations on the theme , with no luck.

It doesn't matter, but Im just a geek who loves his car and wants to see it do its thing.

Any help? Thanks!

Carlos

Re:

Check that all the globes, bulbs and fuses are working in the car first.
Maybe it has a broken circuit and won;t work.
Just like the cruise control won't work if a tail light globe is blown.
