Re: Cleaning injectors ??

We had the injectors cleaned properly by our dealer around 60 or 80 thousand km, really just for good measure.
They don't need to take the injectors out, there is a system they use to flush the injectors. The injectors only need to come out of there is an actual problem with them.
We have had many bottles of the Nissan injector cleaner through the car (at services) and it hasn't had any noticeable affect, except that the car may be rougher now if we had not used it.

Check this for all your additives and miracle power/fuel economy ideas, there's some good reading that makes sense:

Re: Cleaning injectors ??

Hi Guys,

To keep this thread on the topic of cleaning the injectors, I ask that any further information relating to fuel savers and additives is posted in THIS existing thread.

I'll be moving some of the posts from this thread to the above one, so we can continue on the subject of injectors here.

I didn't realize we had an existing thread for this stuff until I did a search.

Re: Cleaning injectors ??

Hi everyone,

Got my 50k service done yesterday and dealer asked if I would like to get fuel injectors flushed. First I thought he is just trying to rip me off as I've got no bloody idea on that and charged me $109.00.

But when I got my car back from service I can tell something is done as response time and driving is so smooth which I never felt after any of the service.

I think it's worth it. emoticon

PS: I know this thread is not appropriate for service experiences, but Macarthur Nissan is getting better.
