New Pioneer double DIN head unit

This has only just been launched in the US so is not available here in Australia just yet but it looks like a great option to replace the X-Trail factory head unit ...

Pioneer FH-P800BT

What makes this really exciting is the in-built Bluetooth support and direct USB connection for iPod which allows for control of the iPod through the head unit AND the iPod itself.

US RRP is $350 so given the current strength of the AU dollar this is a great price.

Rubman you shouldn't really pay that much for a avic-hd3, maybe if you buy all the accessories but I can tell you if you pay more than 3g for one you are being ripped off...

Re: New Pioneer double DIN head unit

Mark,

All that functionality can be had by building a Carpc for about $1,200 in parts and some hard work.

This will get you an 800x480 colour screen, about 160Gb HD, full audio or video with navigation concurrently.

The CarPC is what I'll be installing emoticon

Hi Tague,

I have just recently fitted a Eclipse AVN6000 in my Exy, so when I read your post,I did a Google search on the Pioneer AVH-P4050DVD but cannot seem to locate anything that says it has GPS, Mapping inbuilt. Could you post a link so I can compare it to my Eclipse.

Yeah Tague, it doesn't have GPS but it could be "GPS capable" and the reverse camera feature is extra. BTW, grab it from eBay for 800 bucks only emoticon
