4WD Clubs Directory

Dear Members,

This thread has been created to give you a listing of all existing Australian (and International) 4WD Clubs where the X-Trail is welcome and would serve as a good point of reference should you wish to join these clubs in your State and/or Territory.

The Australian X-Trail Forum will list any 4WD Australian (and International) Clubs here as long as these clubs will be prepared to exchange links with our forum and have our domain name (www.australianxtrail.com.au) displayed in their LINKS section.

If you're a member of a 4WD Club and wish to list it here, please ensure that the club president and/or chairman approves linking our forum to your club before you list it here.

If you have any questions or if in doubt, please email us at the Admin Mailbox (admin@australianxtrail.com.au)

Re: 4WD Clubs Directory

For WA X-Trail Owners:

Our forum and the Compact 4WD WA Club have reached an agreement of a link exchange between our sites to give benefit for xtrail owners of both organizations to get maximum exposure to events and outings in the beautiful WA part of Australia.

The Compact 4WD Club website can be found HERE

The Club President will soon be extending their offer to xtrail owners of our forum to join future trips with their club and/or arrange meet-ups and outings for members of our forum.

If you're in WA and drive an exy, it is highly recommended that you check out this club which has xtrail owners in it too.

X-Trail owners of the WA Club are more than welcome to join our forum as well at the same time to get the needed and concentrated x-trail dose of information emoticon

Re: 4WD Clubs Directory

Kev,

I have removed your link to the club you mentioned due to non-compliance.

Please ask the president or owner of the club to contact me for a link exchange program and we can then have the club listed here.

Hi Guys,

Our forum and the Jackaroo 4WD Club of Australia has reached an agreement to exchange links and promote each other (thanks to Alan - rescue1 for arranging this with the Jackaroo club and Wal Phelps the Jackaroo Club Secretary)

Here is a little bit of background about the Jackaroo Club:

quote:

The Jackaroo 4WD Club of Australia Inc. was established in 1983 and was the first "Jackaroo 4WD Club" in Australia. Although based in Sydney, we have members in the Illawarra, the Blue Mountains and the Newcastle and Central Coast areas as well as interstate in Brisbane. We welcome owners/drivers with all levels of experience from "beginners" to "experienced", and are a family friendly club with quite a few members with young families. We are affiliated to 4WD NSW and ACT. We fully support and abide by their Code of Ethics. We respect both our vehicles and the environment and could, in no way be considered 'gung-ho' or 'bush-bashers'.

We are a medium sized, family friendly club with a growing membership, currently around 75. We organise and lead at least one trip each month, either on Saturdays or Sundays, or two or three day camping trips, plus occasional extended trips to various outback locations. These trips will have varying degrees of difficulty, to suit the varying level of driver experience within the Club. The Club also organises BBQ's, picnics and other social outings for club members. We also, from time to time, organise mid-week trips for those members who cannot make the week-end trips. Club trips provide a means of gaining experience and confidence to tackle outback tracks while in the company and safety of other members and also the opportunity to see vehicle accessories and camping equipment etc. in use before purchasing your own.

Our club has many lady members who actively participate in club events including driver training, trips, Committee and monthly meetings.

We do not restrict membership to Jackaroo owners; all makes and models of Four Wheel Drive vehicles are welcome.

Hi Guys,

Our forum and the Sydney District 4x4 Club has reached an agreement to exchange links and promote each other (thanks to Ron for arranging this with the Sydney District 4x4 Club)

Here is a little bit of background about the Sydney District 4x4 Club:

quote:

Sydney District 4x4 Club Inc enjoys a wide range of 4wd and outdoor activities.
While many of our trips require a 4wd with low range quite a number of trips are available for those with what are termed “softroaders”- 4wds with out low range. Have a look through tour website and the trip reports to get a feel for what we do – long distance touring across deserts, tough tracks in the Blue Mountains, tourist destinations for bushwalking, social camping gatherings, etc.
