Brett:

Thoughts and prayers will come from very far away as well.

It's the time of year for good things to happen and I'm sure they will for ALL the family.

Do keep us posted on developments...

Cheers & best wishes = Roger

Re: BRETT(72) is a dad again !!!

Thanks guys for all the kind words, text messages, emails and pms. It is really appreciated by the both of us. It has surely changed my lovely wife's opinion of the guys on the forum, to see how kind you all have been.

My little girl requires extensive and critical surgery on her tracea and larax on Friday, due to it closing and not allowing air/food into the correct path. My other daughter had the exact same condition, so now the genetics mob also want to see us for their sake.

The specialists have given us all the scary stats and risks with this procedure, but they are outweighed by not having it done. She will be only 7 days old at the time of surgery, whereas her sister was 6 weeks.

Again I ask that you keep us in your prayers and I will keep you updated with any news.

My wife should be discharged from the Maternity Ward later this week, as she had a relapse on the flight down and I think the added stress did not help. So luckily I found a little internet cafe for some 'me' time and allow me to slightly forget about what lies ahead.

My lovely wife has finally been discharged from the Maternity Ward and our little girl had surgery to her throat today. Surgeons were pleased with the result (are they ever not pleased) and little Tegan is on the road to recovery in the ICU ward for the next few days or so.

Re: BRETT(72) is a dad again !!!

A big genuine "thanks" for all the pm's, emails and calls guys. My little girl was flown back to Orange earlier today and after an overnight stay in the local hospital to make sure there are no ill effects from the flight, my family will finally be together and we can celebrate a very belated Christmas.

Shame the turkey and ham which was left in the fridge was a little worse for wear emoticon
