Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

Well I have sexy exy back and I am very happy with the lift.

It was quite noticeable when I approached the front door.

The cambers pins were not required to be replaced and Pedders did a wheel alignment as well all for $710.00 supplied and fitted.

The 35mm lift was acceptable for the independent suspension and Allan said it would be too much on the suspension to go any higher .

Will copy the report here from the members rides once it is all complete.

Regards Scot.

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

Well here is the report for the lift. Allan(manager) and Pavel(Technician) took these photo's for me as they carried out the procedure.

I drove sexy exy down to Pedders for her appointment at 9:00am for the lift.

Was greeted by Allan(manager) at front desk and we talked for a bit and I did ask if the camber pins were needed and he said he was not sure but was hopeful they would not need them.

I was so freaked out leaving the exy there but thought she was in good hands.

Allan(manager) and Pavel(Technician) took these photo's for me as they carried out the procedure.
Here Allan gets ready to take sexy exy in.

And the following shows some of the procedure,Image

and here is sexy exy in the air emoticon

and here is Pavel under sexy exy

The next few show sexy exy getting that all important wheel alignment.

Here is sexy exy parked out the front and waiting for my return Image Image.

The specs on the report read before installation was 665,665,660,660 and once installed 700,700,700,700

I have noticed the increase and now the rims look too small for the caremoticon .

We took sexy exy out this afternoon to Christmas creek for a quick run up a dirt track and then down to Lions rd to Gradey creek rd to do some quick creek crossing to test everything out.

Very happy with the lift and a huge thank you to Allan(manager)and Pavel(technician) for accommodating me and taking the Photo's

Regards Scot

Great stuff Scot.
It was good that the guys took some photos for you, even if it meant a bit of free advertising for them.
Looks great.

It is unbelievable how the exy handles now and I even noticed a change in power in the engine!

Yes it is a bit of free advertising for them but I feel they deserve it as there service to me was 10 out of 10.

Regards Scot

Yes the engine seems like it is less load to me!

Even Wendy did comment on how the engine seems to purr more emoticon .

Don't ask me how but it has changed!

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

Hey Scot, you must be getting a lot of wind assistance through that huge gap between tyres and fenders to lift the exy up while you're cruising that is making you feel the power emoticon

It is the first time I hear of a suspension related HP gain LOL emoticon

Re: T31 Suspension Lift & Air Bag assist

Ewww... Pedders. Even the rally cars driven by that family use other branded suspension components emoticon

And as for more power after a lift, can you send me some of what you are on? In all my experience with 4wd lifts.... the extra height, increases wind resistance, so fuel consumption and performance decreases.

And handling doesn't improve either, unless sway etc increasing counts as an improvement.....

JMO.....
