Re: Side Steps for the new X-Trail T31

Hi Steve,

Don't bother getting these side steps from Nissan dealers and go directly to the source emoticon

These side steps are similar to what was available for the T30 models and they're made by Kingsley Integra and offered in 3 styles for the T31:

Blade Runner (same ones fiited by Daniel and shown HERE)

Integra Steps

Step Boards (which are the ones advertised by Nissan)

All of these Kingsley side steps are sold by BUSHRANGER and if this is the style you want, you can look up a store closest to you and get them fitted, which will be MUCH cheaper than getting them from Nissan.

Please note however that these side steps are NOT stainless steel and while they're practical in terms of the large stepping area, they're indeed very awkward in off-road situations where a slight hit by going over a rock could see these side step bend upward and get damaged.

They're nowhere near as tough as the stainless steel side bars and not as stylish, but it is indeed an option, given the price difference between stainless steel and these ones.

Thanks Jalal.

I will heed your advice and give the dealers a wide birth.

I guess the long term protection of our pride & joy is more important than cosmetically pleasing to the eye accessories. And cheaper too in the long run.

Thanks for the heads-up. emoticon

I've noticed that Nissan are now selling side steps (not the same as you are importing) for the T31's (website listing under accessories) and I was wondering if you happen to know what price they are asking (fitted and supply only)? I understand that prices may vary depending on the dealership (I found that out when enquiring about towbars).

Steve I've been thinking about these too and got a price from Nissan today for interest sake. $795 fitted, with the only real bonus being that the steps are then covered under the warranty. Although I'm not really sure what could ever go wrong with them that the warranty would be worthwhile?

Re: Side Steps for the new X-Trail T31

Great thread.. i read the bit about the T30 steps not compatible with the T31, Doh! Another accessory to go onto ebay! I have a few things on there atm from my T30 - think that belongs in another thread though..

I had aftermarket step boards which seemed to work well keeping stones off the side of the car when going down dirt roads (you can hear the rocks clanging!)

The tube ones look good, will save up some magic beans and get something like that i think..

Re: Side Steps for the new X-Trail T31

Hi Guys,

I have made contact with Bushranger and asked them for special deals and discounts on their products (including these side steps) for members of our forum.

I have received a response today saying they will be very interested in offering the Australian X-Trail Forum special pricing and discounts and I will be receiving the details shortly.

So, if you're in the market for any of the above-listed Bushranger side steps, hold off a bit as you could save a few $$$ soon. emoticon
